Getting to Know Me

Hello! I am KC, but for the most part, I'll be going by YYC Bookworm. It's more fun that way, don't you think? I never do know how to talk about myself directly. Never have been very good at it. So, let's try this a different way, shall we?

1. Who am I?

I am a city girl, through & through, with a love for the Rocky Mountains. I am a dog mom to an adorable mini schnauzer named Rhys. I have a passion for books & writing, fashion & music, tv & movies. Love a day out with a close friend, but also enjoy spending the day at home with Rhys. I'm what's called an AMBIVERT; likes being alone, but also likes being around the right kind of people. I'm a complex human.

2. What is the blog about?

I've been wrestling with starting a blog for a while now. Going back and forth with myself about what it would be about, if it would be centralized to one category or have a few different things going on. How often I would post or update. And many more things that I needed to think about but couldn't focus long enough to actually do just that. Finally, I decided that I can figure it out as I go along. It might end up being all about books and Rhys, but it could also be about what random thing happened one week. Maybe I will update a couple times a week, maybe I will update once a month, who knows? Not me, that's for sure! At the very least, I can get it started and see where it goes. All you can do is try, right?

3. Why start a blog?

I've had a lot happen in the past few years. I'm not good with talking to people about my problems or the things that bother me and keep me up at night. My best friend knows more about me than anyone else and even she doesn't know a lot of stories that I've kept hidden and bottled up. I create fictional stories that very vaguely detail what has happened, but I'm the only person that will ever read them. I figure it might be time I start writing something that other people will read too. I can guarantee the posts won't be directly connected to what I keep bottled up, but they will show little pieces of me that would otherwise be kept quiet along with the big things. Sometimes it might be what I'm reading this week, other times it might be something that triggers a memory. Sometimes it might not have anything to do with anything. Let's see what happens.
